Abstract EN

In this research we examined metaphor according to modern analysis theories of a group ofIraqi generation of the poets.

The nature of the study required that it be studied through threemethods: Structural, Deconstruction and Reception, to obtain the desired results by analyzingthe poetry of this generation that contained metaphor.

The metaphorical expressions aremainly based on the production of signs that differ from the literal translation and which givethe recipient the opportunity to share the creative experience in poetry as well as transfer thecreative process from the superficiality to extend in an atmosphere of hope and multiple levelsof reception.
