The aim of this research is to know the knowledge society and the role of Egyptian universities towards it.

The importance of the research comes from the role that Egyptian universities will provide and the efforts they make to play this role in the presence of the knowledge society.

The research used the descriptive method through which the role of Egyptian universities towards the knowledge society is monitored and the information collected and organized.

And classifying and analyzing them accurately to reach the best results, and recommendations, and the research was based on several terms, including (role, knowledge society) and accordingly the research presented a set of recommendations and suggestions, including: providing curricula and courses on the web, expanding the open and distance education system, enacting Laws that facilitate the benefit from the local environment and the establishment of an international knowledge cooperation fund between various countries to exchange experiences, experiences and results related to the knowledge society.

Carrying out sustainable professional development projects for graduates through the Egyptian Universities Alumni Association and others.

Establishing an internet network to facilitate communication and communication between students and each other and between students and their teachers.
