The Islamic Bank is the financial institution that collects, invests and develops funds for the benefit of the participants and achieves cooperation in accordance with Shariah principles.

Islamic banks carry out various operations, all of which aim at supporting the development of society, including investment.

Participation financing is one of the most important forms of financing applied in Islamic banks.

The format of participation may be long, medium or short-term.

And the validity of banking participation has put its jurists controls and conditions of legitimacy.

Also, the Islamic banking application of participation has copies of them: fixed or permanent participation, and diminishing participation or ending ownership.

There are many problems encountered by Islamic banks in the application of the formula of participation; therefore, the research aims to indicate what banking participation and controls.

The research concluded that banking participation is a financing method, legitimate, and the participation formula is an Islamic alternative to finance.
