In every Hijri year, we stand with the million-people masses that trek toward Karbala on the 20th of the Islamic month of Safar, which marks the 40th day anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein on the Muharram 10, 61 Hijri / 680 AD, which was named later as "Arbaeen" that considered as one of the biggest pilgrimages ever.

Despite its small size, the holy city of Karbala includes millions of people who travel to it from various Islamic countries close to or far from Iraq, as many of them walk for more than 500 Km on foot, accompanied by processions that include between five hundred and one thousand people.

The processions of the mourners walk with humility and sadness in a look of deep sorrow, wearing black clothes as a sign of mourning, while some of them weeping and banging on their chests in condolence to the Prophet for the death of his grandson Imam Hussein bin Ali "peace be upon them", as the people of the cities and villages nearby are erecting tents of different sizes, or open their homes for the pilgrims and providing them with comfort and food, considering all of these services as a blessing from Allah Almighty.
