The Arab economic bloc is presented as a reality produced by the system of global economic blocs in the context of globalization, Although the idea of Arab economic integration is considered relatively old compared to the recent economic blocs, This began with the conclusion of the Mutual Defense and Economic Cooperation Treaty of the Arab League in 1950, from which the Arab Economic and Social Council emerged, followed by several treaties, This led to an increase in ambition to achieve economic and industrial integration among Arab countries to meet the challenges of global blocs and reduce the food and technological dependency gap in the Arab world.
