Abstract EN

One of the ways of accurate interpretation of Quran verses is that the meaning of its vocabularies to be understood accurately.

Thus, it is very important to consider the meanings of words and explanation of singularities in Quran interpretation.

Amongst the interpreters who have valuably expounded the Jamealbayan and Tebyan, we can denote to Tabari and Sheikh Tousi.The purpose of this research is to compare and discuss the performance and methodology of these two interpreters in the interpretation of Quran vocabularies.

In this study, the author analyzes the interpretations of interest in expression of the words from different aspects such as singular and plural, derivatives, description of word dissimilarities and modes of meaning, expression of denotation, description of vague, relation between words, expression of non-Arabic words in Quran and use of poetry, verse and Hadith in word explanation.

What is obtained from the comparison is that both of interpretations in the quality of looking at the vocabularies have almost an identical style.

However, the Sheikh Tousi examined the Quran vocabularies as more coherently and purposefully.
