Abstract EN

Abu Ala Al-Ma’arri was an Arab poet, literarion and linguist.

Omar Ibn Ibrahim Khayyam was a persian mathematician astronomer and poet.

Even though a large number in comparison between that two, have said of their resemblance(similarity) but more surveys show that Al-Ma’arri had a vitriolic and morbid personality, but Khayyam had a lively joyous and hopeful one.

This thesis despite other comparative searches talks of deep differences of thoughts between of these two intellectuals (thinking) and this comes from their world views.

The result of this enquiry shows that Ma’arry’s pessimistic and morbid is due to his mythical world view; and of Khayyam’s lively and joyous is from his philosophical attitudes on this basis while making clear Plato’s aspects in distinction poetry and philosophy we hear of the anthropologyical philosophy especially in balancing soul and has been oriented (adjusted) to Khayyam.

Also by a document to Ernest Cassier’s opinions the particulars of mythological thought againat scientific and theoric though has been well defined and has been applied to Ma’rry’s poet and thought.
