Abstract EN

The study presents the concept of the Web 2.0 and its applications with the possibility of employing these applications in the provision of advanced information services, The researcher also submitted a proposed project to the Faculty of Arts library to take advantage of the possibility of employing Web 2.0 in providing information services The study aims to identify the reality of the services provided in the Faculty of Arts library And the ability to employ Web 2.0 applications in the provision of information services in university libraries and to explore the possibilities offered by Web 2.0 applications and how to use them in the provision of advanced information services in university libraries The study followed the descriptive approach in identifying the reality of the services provided in the library of the college of Arts at Mosul University as well as the study of the Web 2.0 and its applications and the possibility of cleaning them in the development of information services.

The researcher also used the survey method which was based on the qualitative analysis of the views of the beneficiaries about the applications of the Web 2.0 and the possibility of employment in the presentation Advanced information services, The study came out with a number of results, the most important of which are : 1 .

The study found through the study the reality of the library of the Faculty of Arts University of Mosul the lack of staff working in the Library of the College of specialists in the field of information and libraries.

The study revealed the possibility of employing Web 2.0 technologies in the development of information services, including the use of Ajax technology in the availability of automated catalogs on the web as well as the possibility of free thematic classification of the document.
