Abstract EN

This article deals with my work on the manuscript (Kitab nassab Zoghba wamuntaha Aslihim) (A book on the genealogy and origin of the Zoghba tribe) written by Abou El Hassan Ali Ben Mohammad Ben El Khatib El Korashi El Tilimsani who lived in Ottoman Algeria in the 17th century.

This manuscript is one of the historical sources which speak of the Hilalian migration which was the object of numerous researches and studies, some had described it as a conquest, but other authors and historians had considered it as an invasion and each of them has their point of view and their arguments.

To study this manuscript, I relied on two copies of it, the first copy is a photocopy of the original copy which is in the municipal library of the Ahmed Zabana museum in Oran, it is entitled "Book of descendants of Zoghba and their origin", free from any indication of the name of its copier, or of the date of copy and its location, the manuscript was presented as a gift to the museum library under the title "Neseb Zoïba", which is part of a collection bearing the number R.A136.

As for the second copy, it is a photocopy of the original copy found in the manuscripts section located at the National Library in Hama under serial number: 3881, and this copy is untitled, so George Dilvan l titled "A book in the genealogy of the Tlemcen tribes", and it was recorded in a special index, and the name of its copyist is Ahmed ibn Muhammad ibnKerdal Al-Maghary Al-Mostaghanami, who lives in Mostaganem, he was an employee of the Court of Sidi al-Sanusi, Division: 14, Department: My uncle Musa, and he finished copying it on Wednesday 29 Jumada al-Thani 1370 AH corresponding to February 19, 1890 CE, in Mostaganem.

This manuscript is a historical source on the central Maghreb, as it provides historical details that are lacking in other sources.

In addition, he underlines the influence of Hilalian migration on literature, he explained to us the extent and effect of semantic exegesis on historical writings, through the use of pseudonyms of already existing historical figures.
