The research seeks to shed light on the role played by Maliki scholars in Andalusia during the Umayyad era and the impact recorded by their participation in political events, through the social and scientific standing they formed in this era, and the role of the political authority in stabilizing this position and using it to serve its political agenda, And address the most important aspects of their political contribution by supporting the Umayyad authority or participating in attempts to overthrow it, and the consequences of this, The research also showed how the Maliki school of thought contributed to uniting the intellectual and ideological stripes in Andalusia and their response to the contrary intellectual and political currents, and how this contributed to giving another dimension to the independence of Andalusia.
