The categories as edited by Aristotle belong to the larger axes of Aristotelian philosophy of science and which he defended in his major book edited under the title of Organon.

This book went from Greek culture to Arab-Islamic culture, then to the medieval period, then to the modern period.

This article presents Aristotle's categories and their cognitive structure, hence the widely accepted idea that Aristotelian logic is a formal instrument that manifests itself in other treatises collected under the title of Organon.

To achieve this, we used a double approach: the historical and analytical method according to a progression of cognitive and epistemic concepts.
