Abstract EN

'Good tidings, my heart'' is considered one of the most famous widespread poems on the eulogy of (Prophet) Mohammad as well as the most studied poem by literary critics and researchers.

This is so due to its subject matter, that is to say, the biography of the Noble Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, on the one hand, and due to the sincerity of the intent of the poet and the eloquence displayed in the poem, on the other.

The manuscript of the poem has exhibited the consensus of many editors and researchers on its importance, who at the same time differed on its author between the poet and jurist al-Qaḍi Ayyaḍ and the poet and reformer Al-Imam al-Maghili.

The arguments of each of the two groups for attributing it to either of the two poets were discussed, as well as the stronger proofs in attributing the poem to its original author.
