Abstract EN

The Muftis' approaches to Fatwa are diverse and varied, even when they belong to same jurisprudence school.

This is, basically, due to different factors that shape and influence their personalities and curricula.

Therefore, we choose to introduce one of the late figures in fatwa, Shaykh Hajj Mhammad Muttahri.

I try to reveal his approach to the Fatwa.

The most important results of the research are determining the characteristics of the Shaykh's approach.

The most important of these characteristics are: (a) following an approach that combines facility and respect of the language of discipline and respectfulness for other scholars.

(b) Relying on the Hadith texts in answers, by paying attention to collecting the different narrations and opinions about them; and then confirming the judgement by quoting the other scholars.

We also found that he uses a rich set of references.

Additionally, Shaykh Muttahri follows a more liberal approach by looking for the right and chooses the most correct judgment, even if it not in conformity with his Ibadhi sect.
