Abstract EN

Although nearly a decade has passed since the uprising in the Arab region for the demand for freedom, dignity and social justice, it has yet to reach acceptable rates of development rate, in addition to the pursuit authoritarian relations in the exercise of governance, management and society, while guarding against Poverty and unemployment and deprivation.

This study aims to investigate the structural causes of the political economy of authoritarianism in the Arab region and attempt to explain them by examining the relationship between low demand on democracy and increasing poverty rates, which is due to the pursuit of the same economic mode based on rent and the lasting returns of loyalty in exchange for the distribution of wealth in the ence of real production in society.
