This paper aims at presenting, through an incursion into Algeria's past, the different linguistic substrates, which have presided over the formation of a typically Algerian spoken language.
The different linguistic moments in which the lexical borrowings, which characterize the Algerian Arabic dialect, took place are exposed.
Our objective is also to show the relevance of the loan in the renewal of the vocabulary in the Algerian spoken language and to highlight the complexity, the singularity and the linguistic and cultural richness of Algeria.

Cet article a pour objet principal de présenter, à travers une incursion dans le passé de l'Algérie, les différents substrats linguistiques qui ont présidé à la formation d'un parler typiquement algérien.
Sont exposés les différents moments linguistiques dans lesquels se sont produits les emprunts lexicaux qui caractérisent le dialecte arabe algérien.
Notre objectif est également de montrer la pertinence de l'emprunt dans le renouvellement du vocabulaire dans le parler algérien et de mettre en lumière la complexité, la singularité et la richesse linguistique et culturelle de l'Algérie.
