Abstract EN

The study is concerned with the importance of employing information and communication technologies in various economic activities as they are considered multi-purpose technologies and its relationship to development .

Unlike its predecessor, it is characterized by unique features, including: the rapid and steady development of capabilities, especially at the level of the speed of circulation and operation of information and storage capacity, the low cost of most of its applications compared to previous technological applications, a very high degree of flexibility that did not witness the previous technology and accelerated rates of spread.

Due to its potential and high flexibility human could be employed in many areas of life disease of entertainment areas and play areas through education, treatment and trade and the end of the areas of management and control thus achieved widespread qualitatively significant not achieved by any of the previous technology.

The study concluded that its impact is clear on development, and can be achieved through the roles assigned to it in different areas of life.

These roles are: advanced applications, network formation, information and knowledge.
