Abstract EN

This study aims to diagnose the true level of the health policy of Algeria in its part related to "maternal mortality".

Therefore, the goal tagged with "reducing the maternal mortality ratio" from the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan of the United Nations Organization was relied on - as a measurable indicator that gives a quantitative character to the study - In order to identify the points of deficiencies and imbalances, suggest what would evaluate, improve performance and raise the level to its maximum.

Algeria has adopted a public health policy in order to reduce the maternal mortality ratio, which has resulted in positive progress, especially at the regional level, and this falls within the framework of doubling efforts and adapting the special national circumstances to the level of global aspirations.
