This study deals with the issue of the French military arsenal and its uses in the Algerian liberation revolution, and the most important of which is what is known as the armored train, which was introduced by the French military establishment to the Algerian liberation revolution after the National Liberation Army soldiers expanded their attacks on the railways and trains of all kinds.

The armored train formed the important defensive war plan.

Change the system of the French military machine, as the nature of its composition made it different from other trains in terms of its external shape and mechanism of manufacture, as well as the defensive features that the armored train includes.

It is natural that the date of the introduction of this armored train in Algeria basically coincided with the first attacks that targeted the movement of French trains, and from here it is evident that it was entered with one goal, which is to protect the railway and facilitate the movement of trains, and since its launch into service, the armored train system in Algeria has faced many obstacles The problems due to the complexity and seriousness of its tasks with the increasing attacks of the National Liberation Army on the railway, as well as problems in financing and the high cost of this service, to problems that will affect the French soldiers operating this armored train.

In this paper, we will try to address the attacks of the National Liberation Army on the railway and then follow the first steps that led to the emergence of the armored train, and then introduce this armored train by addressing its structure, characteristics, and tasks that it was assigned to, and the most important gaps in this system.
