Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the concept and principles of corporate governance and its mechanisms, as well as the concept of emerging stock markets, and tries to diagnose the reality of governance in Alliance Insurance Company in Algeria after 2011, using a descriptive approach in presenting the theoretical framework; for both corporate governance and emerging financial markets, as well as an analytical approach to deal with data collected from Alliance Insurance Algeria and the Algerian Stock Exchange.

We have concluded through this study that the Algerian Stock Exchange has been classified as an emerging stock market, and that it is stillat the first stage of growth for this type of market.

We have also concluded that Alliance Insurance Algeria has been committing, to an acceptable extent, to the principles of corporate governance, especially after 2011, when its shares have been listed in the Algerian Stock Exchange.
