Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the most influencing factors on the housing demand of different social groups, and to determine the form and nature of their interaction between each other.

The focus of this paper was on using quantitative methods and techniques as a tool to rationalize the study and give it greater credibility, thus enhancing the chances of a real response to the aspirations of housing seekers.

After studying a sample of housing seekers in the state of Medea, the paper concluded that each of the variables (gender, marital status, occupation, distance to work from work) do not have a strong relationship with housing demand, which was measured by "housing spending".

While "monthly income", "number of family members", "area of residence", and "quality of housing" are the most influencing factors on housing spending.
