Abstract EN

This study came to shed light on the relationship of caricature art to women's citizenship, as it is the most capable of expressive arts to analyze more serious issues and embody them in satirical images drawn from reality.

On this basis, this study relied on defining the concepts of citizenship and the art of caricature and analyzing the relationship between them by highlighting realistic indicators of citizenship among Algerian women embodied in the cartoon portraits under study.

Therefore, this study aims to clarify the role of this art in embodying the principle of citizenship by displaying caricature models that reflect the issues that represent the essence of the Algerian woman's citizenship, which can be considered as inputs aiming to understand and prove the extent of its actual expression because of its proximity first to being a true mirror that reflects reality and being also the most art.
