The image creates a special context that is not entrusted to us.

The poet’s experience, his ability to evoke the Absent text, and to transmit it in space and time.

Mahmoud Darwish expressed the existential human experience in his poetry in general, and in particular in the Bed of the Strange.

He was able to summon the mythical symbols, ancient civilizational history, and Arab and Western cultural heritage to move within the general text and form a new text with a new look, deepening the function of the poetic text’s semantics and its aesthetic value.

It enriches the poetic experience and gives it a general human dimension.

The poet summoned the symbolic myth and the culture heritage from ancient civilizations and employed it in his text and analyzed it.

It became a new text with different contents establishing the context of the meaning he wanted.
