Perhaps the media and its means were the wider outlets that could be devoted to defy such violence and extremism that were characterized sometimes with terrorism..، The researcher in this study dealt with the roots of violence and extremism in the world and the historical and social evidences of some of its aspects and also dealt with the role of the media in addressing the goals and purposes of the extremist terrorists who raised the slogan of "exaggeration and rejection of dialogue"، Also a part of the study was assigned to highlight the extremism spots in the contents of media messages within the Arabic media by analyzing a several statements on attitudes of the educated elites in Iraq towards what were broadcasted or spread over Arabic media outlets.
