Abstract EN

This study aims to identify the effect of the gross domestic product changes on the imports in Algeria during the period of 1990-2015, where the year of 1990 is considered the beginning of a program put in motion by Algeria, based on the general principle of imports freedom for all economic agents.

This study has also aimed to test the long-term relation between GDP and imports during the same period (2015-1990), where the descriptive approach was used on the theoretical side and the statistical .analysis in the standard study, using Eviews 9 The study concluded that there is no long-term relationship between GDP and imports, and the coefficient of determination showed that GDP changes affect the imports by .96% and explains the changes that happen to it
