The electronic Certification of the signature is considered the most important stage in concluding all kinds of electronic transactions, this importance is due to the prominent role it plays in concluding the contract and ensuring the validity of the data contained in it, moreover inverifying the authencity of the signature on it and its attribution to its owner.

This is indeed what the Algerian legislator stipulated in Article 28 of the Law 18-05 related to the regulation of electronic commerce, it reiterated the necessity of securing online commerce sites with the electronic authentication system.

This process nessicates the intervention of a neutral third party known as the certification body, which is a specific body that issues electronic certification certificates.

In view of the importance of this stage (process), many countries enacted legal legislations that determine its general rules and specify the bodies(institutions) in charge of carrying out this task and precising their obligations and responsibilities, the Algerian legislator has also done so through Law 04-15 specifying the general rules related to electronic signature and certification.
