Abstract EN

The development of the right to a healthy environment for the citizen came through the ratification by many countries of international conventions concerned with the environmental field, and states have promoted this right by making it a right among the constitutional rights that the citizen enjoys.

These texts regulate the mechanisms of environmental protection, whether in terms of the bodies authorized to work in this field, or through the content of legislation that defines the environment and defines its components, whether in its scientific, technical, technological and economic framework, to other forms that can be taken by the environment.

This research paper is based on the evaluation of the environmental legislative system in Algeria through the constitution of the right to a healthy environment and the impact of this constitution on the legislative outcome in the environmental field.

This is addressed by showing the evolution of the environment issue in the Algerian constitutions, identifying the difference in the environmental institutional approach in Algeria and the diversity of the fields of environmental legislation.
