This research paper aims to show the limits of implementing the principle of information and environmental participation and to highlight its effectiveness in providing environmental information, as it has received broad legal approval, whether at the international or national level, and the Algerian legislator in the law on environmental protection considered it a tool for environmental management, because access to environmental information does not It not only ensures the audience's ability to understand what is happening in their environment, but also ensures their ability to actively participate in the environment and in the decision-making process with full knowledge of the facts.

However, despite the legal recognition of the principle of information and environmental participation, the exercise of this right is still suffering from narrowing and restrictions, due to several reasons, the most important of which is the lack of regulatory texts related to the right to media and environmental participation, which has hindered its implementation and narrowed its scope of application, in addition to administrative blackout and lack of confidence.

In citizens to get acquainted with the simplest information related to their health and their environment, and the administration's indifference to the opinions of citizens has led people to believe that the administration does not resort to informing them until after the issue before it is resolved
