Abstract EN

The industrial sector and the foreign trade sector are considered one of the most important sectors of the national economy.

Therefore, this study aims to shed light on the nature of the relationship between the liberalization of foreign trade and the performance of the industrial sector, through a standard study based on building a standard model to determine the effect of the degree of trade openness, the exchange rate and imports on the development The added value of the industrial sector as a percentage of the GDP in Algeria for the period from (2000-2019), and depending on the Evieus program, the experimental results indicated the existence of a positive and statistically significant effect of the trade openness index on the added value of the industrial sector.

However, the effect of the exchange rate and imports was negative.
