Abstract EN

The Islamic Maghreb knew a group of Islamic sects, whereas the sect of Kharijites was the first appearance of these teams , its name was given to those who came out of the Imam Ali , may Allah be pleased with him, for this reason, they were called Kharijites.

The historians counted a lot of its teams, the most important of them : the First Court, Azareqah, Safarya , and Ibadha .

Because of the policy that was applied by Umayyads, especially the principle of inheritance of power, the Ibadi appeared.

It called for the application of the principles of Islam based on justice and equality in the selection of the Imam, and that was during the Imamate ( period of rulling) Abdul Rahman bin Rustam, but quickly it turned to slogans for his successors, Rustamid Imams, who went out to comply their principles.

Thus, their system of government became closest to the monarchy (hereditary).
