Abstract EN

This study aims to shed the light on one of the topics related to understanding the Holy Qur'an semantically and structurally, as well as to highlight the efforts of Islamic scholars specialized in Semantics to investigate Qur'anic terms.

Since the key to to understanding Qur'anic structures is to initially deal with its single terms both within and outside of context.

The purpose is to extract additional meanings through this process.

This paper seeks to identify the mechanisms of Semantics and its significance within Qur'anic studies.

After reviewing and studying examples and judging them via semantic mechanisms, we concluded that semantics possesses certain mechanisms that help the interpretation of Qur'an; some of these mechanisms serve the context and the structure while others serve the words themselves.
