The study of the rural settlement as ageographical phenomenor requries studying its general morphology means the general shape our outward appearance of the rural settlement.

Therefore, studying the morphology of the rural settlement has two dimensions.

The first dimension is to study the form of the settlement, its composition and the extension of its housing units The second dimension is the study of housing units in terms of design, construction materials and housing unit components.

Among the most prominent findings of the study is the existence of one type of rural settlements in the study area represented by the old traditional pattern (un planned), which reflected its effects on the spatial organization of the various activities and on their morphology.

as well as social factors such as customs, traditions , tribal spirit and clan tendency had a clear impact on the construction fabric and the components and plan of rural settlements.
