Abstract EN

This research is summarized in highlighting the role and importance of family counseling in protecting young people from exaggeration and extremism, being one of the most important prevention factors against the exaggeration and extremism that afflicted the Islamic nation in the past and present, and showing that societies that care about family counseling and care about it are less dangerous and more harmful than the stain of extremism and its consequences.

The research dealt with the concepts of family counseling, the importance of the family and the care of Islam in it, and that it is considered the first channel from which young people and youth absorb social, cultural and intellectual values.

If those in charge of education and family counselors fail to implant the values of tolerance and the principles of goodness, then society loses an important line of defense in the face of evils and the payment of risks of all kinds, the most dangerous of which are the exaggeration and extremism that societies have suffered and still are.

The research also dealt with the preventive and curative goals of family counseling in protecting young people from extremism and extremism, then it reviewed the efforts made by family counselors and their sufficiency, and finally the areas of family counseling in protecting young people from extremism and extremism and its fields, the most important of which are the family, then the mosque, then school, university, and then society.
