Abstract EN

The geographic relationship with geographical information systems is not confined to the location of the geographical location or geographical event, but studied and linked the different elements that this place brings together.

The current research aims at: 1- What geographic information systems acquired by the students of the third stage geography section of their study of geography.

2- Are there any statistically significant differences between males and females in their acquisition of information systems concepts? Current research is limited to: 1-Students of the third stage department of geography, fuclty of Basic Education, Babylon University.

1- Book of geographic information systems which is taught in the third stage, the first term .

2- School year 2016-2017 In the study, the researcher adopted descriptive research methodology because it fits the native of the research.

The researcher constructed a test of choice of the type of multiple three alternatives and the test of (20) items represent geographical information systems .

The current research the most important results: The number of geographic information systems acquired by the students was 8 geographical concepts while the number of concepts was not gained was twelve.
