: intangible capital plays a very important role along the stages of the production process, as it is estimated that intangible assets represent a third of the value of products, and it represents the largest part of what the consumer pays in exchange for obtaining the product, this study aimed to find out the extent of the contribution of intangible capital to product returns along the stages of the production process, and this within global value chains, and we relied on data collected by a group of researchers in 2014, where they calculated the revenues of the outputs of the production process (labor, tangible capital, intangible capital), for 19 manufacturing sectors, and they also estimated these outputs for some industries along the production stages, and we in this research paper analyzed these data and classified them, to find out the extent of their contribution intangible capital in the value of the final product and along the stages of the production process, and we have concluded that the contribution of intangible assets to the value of products varies according to each sector, as well as their contribution varies along the stages of the production process of the product, which is completely in line with the smile curve
