The deficit has become a feature of Algeria’s public budget, with every drop in oil prices under the price of 50$ the barrel and the impact of the decline in oil prices is quite evident through the government's resort to lowering its estimates of the price of a barrel in the budget, which consequently entails lowering the expectations of the level of public treasury revenues, but what is new in this period is the coincidence of the decline in oil prices with the pandemic - Covid 19 - and its aftermath effects on the global and national economy alike, so this study came to review the efforts undertaken by Algeria to confront the two ills of the Corona pandemic and the fall in oil prices, and by adopting the inductive approach, we tried to take note of the two precedents of the epidemic in terms of its nature, and to record a negative price situation for West Texas oil by invoking the data obtained related to the two variables of the study, with an indication of their impact on the general budget of Algeria, which was evident in the set of measures that the Algerian authorities have committed to, and we have finally presented a number of mechanisms that would contribute to strengthening Algeria's general fiscal balance and confronting shocks in the future
