Abstract EN

The research aims to prove the effectiveness of the agricultural sector as a strategic development alternative in the process of economic diversification, by investigating the impact of agricultural production (it includes livestock production, grain production, agricultural food production, non-food agricultural production) on the (GDP) in the short and long term.

For this purpose, he relied on standard modeling for the period (1991-2018) using the statistical program eviews 10.

The study concluded that there is a strong relationship between these variables in the long term, and there is also a short-term relationship between the variables, which confirms the existence of relative complementarity in the impact of agricultural production on Gross domestic product and therefore the necessity to rely on it for economic diversification.
