Abstract EN

In light of the significant increase in the quantities of solid waste produced and its negative effects environmentally, economically, and socially, and as a result of global environmental trends condemning need to adopt a sound method and adopting sustainable strategies for solid waste management, we thought through our research paper to shed light on the solid waste management sector in Algeria and extend its sustainability.

The study concluded that our national sector is still far from sustainable, as solid waste will treat as expired and worthless materials, with a focus on ways to dispose of it either in controlled dumps or in technical landfill centers, and the weakness of the recycling and recovery systems.
