Abstract EN

The study aims to highlight the importance of foreign direct investments in improving economic diversification opportunities in Algeria, and to determine the extent of the analytical and analogical impact of the investment climate on investment flows.

FDI, by using economic performance indicators, both internal and external, on the one hand, and indicators of economic and political institutional quality on the other hand, in order to expose the weaknesses that characterize the investment climate, and their impact on the attraction of FDI, in particular in the light of the latter one of the most important options available to activate economic diversification in Algeria.

The study revealed the importance of some internal performance indicators, such as the rate of economic growth, the rate of inflation and public expenditure as a percentage of GDP, and the insignificance of the rest of the variables related to economic performance.
