Abstract EN

The aim of this article, which adopted the theory of value determinism of Azi Abdel Rahman, and uses and gratifications is to reveal the impact of the use of social networking sites on the intellectual security of University youth, and to conduct a descriptive survey study of a sample of first year students in social sciences at Blida University 2.

It has also identified the most important determinants of Intellectual security that has became a danger for young people's thinking, ideas, values, customs and cultures, as we noticed different ideas and perceptions that caused a defect or an intellectual deviation when these sites were misused.

The University youth today are thinking differently away from its customs and values and convictions, which were taken for granted to them to embrace others according to the new changes that have swept our Arab and Islamic societies in general and Algeria in particular.
