Abstract EN

This Research paper draws from a contemporary problem that we are living now to find its roots in the past as result of long historical process, which raise contemporary issues on gender and the social and economic integration of women in development, by providing a detaited picture that answers more than question about the division of labor and gender roles, to raise the problematic relationship associated with this phenomenon and understand its determinants and its interpretative framework.

The most important finding is raise the problematic relationship of the division of labor and gender roles has beenhistorically formed, through the existence of determinants that have had a functional role in the production and reproduction of this relationship, and has been established as a basis for social organization at the level of practice and representations, and the commitment of social boundaries and political and economic life of both men and women.
