Abstract EN

This study try to highlight to hithe phenomenon of banditry among Hilali Arab tribes in the Western Muslim World during the period extending from the XIIIth to the XVth Centuries AD.

This phenomenon was significantly present by the settlement of those tribes in that region where they caused serious security trouble especially by the beginning of the XIIIth Century AD.

It was due to the regress of the Almohads' Dynasty strength and the break out of strife all over the Maghrib leading to a security sitution around roads network.

The objective of this paper is to shed light on the Relationship beteween Arab Hilali tribes and the banditry crime in the Western Muslim World, due the large role palyed by thes tribes in the prevalence until the phenomenon of warfare became with the hilali tribes
