This research paper deals with a thorny topic that has long been raised about many questions and even doubts, which is the issue of Algerian conscripts in the French army and their relationship to the revolution.

therefore, the choice was made to study one of the sources, which is a memo by Mohamed Zerguini one of the officers who escaped from the French army and who joined the revolution on the borders,(une vie de combat et lute, témoignages et appreciations 1941-1962) who testified here one many issues related to this category of Algerians during the stage of the liberation revolution.
