This study reveals the truth of the modernist Maqasid discourse, its objectives, foundations, sources, characteristics, and reasons for its influence.

It is comparing it with what was mentioned in the moderate Islamic maqasid discourse.

This study included critiquing its mistakes in justice and fairness.

The study followed a descriptive, inductive analytical approach in presenting its material.

It concluded that the modernists exaggerated the promotion of the maqasid to exploit them in wasting the legal texts that oppose modernist ideas.

In addition, they employ some legal texts in a utilitarian manner.

Moreover, they exploit some of the theories of jurisprudence.

Emphasizing a number of western foreign curricula on Arab legal texts; The predominance of ignorance over the modernists, blind imitation of Westerners, and the lack of reliance on the predecessors' interpretation texts are the main reasons for their deviation.
