SummaryMost of the studies on the personality and work of Ahmed Reda Houhou consider him only as a poet.

The objective of this research is to discover Ahmed Réda Houhou's report with journalism and publication in newspapers.

The main question of the study is: what are the characteristics of journalistic writing in the journalist Ahmed Reda Houhou.

Methodologically, his articles published in Algerian newspapers, notably El Bassair and Echoula, were described and analysed.

The analysis of the data led to the following results: the confirmation of Ahmed Réda Houhou's journalistic orientation and his real contribution to the Algerian Arabic-speaking press through all his articles, in various fields, published in the newspapers Al-Bassair and Echou'la.

Finally, the most important result is that Ahmed Reda Houhou can be considered one of the pioneers of sarcastic journalism in Algeria, as he has published many sarcastic articles.
