Abstract EN

Journalistic crime is the type of crime committed by newspapers and resulting from the abuse of freedom of expression, the Algerian legislator considered it a common law crime and is distinguished from other crime by the element of publicity that represents the subject of its material side.

This study aims to determine the legal nature of the behaviors that constitute journalistic crimes and the basics that underlie Algerian legislation.

We have concluded that a journalistic crime of a special nature is committed by journalists when they move from permissible to legally prohibited while performing their journalistic duties.
