The cover opens as a visual text through which the caligraphic signs intertwine on semantic and aesthetic dimensions, in which the linguistic and iconic aspects intersect, achieving a perceived functional relationship between the textual interior and its surroundings (the title, the name of the author, the accompanying picture, the rationale for publication, ...).

for this reason, the study converges the levels of cover discourse formation within the network of internal and external relationships in the narrative body to break into its narratives and discover its unknowns, thus allowing the reader to have clear proposals of intentions, functions and critical preconceived judgments that commit him to a special strategy for reading, evoking his visual culture and interpretive competence.

our approach came to illuminate part of the text margins by standing on its thresholds leading into it and to examine its role in activating the receptivity process.
