Abstract EN

Algerian Resistance newspaper was created in 1956, after Algerian Revolution of about two years.

Its creation was been a necessity of having media Revolution which give to Algerian and foreign public information's about Algerian National Front of Liberation and its army activities; also in order to recruiting Algerians and mobilising them for revolutionary work and publicizing the National cause at external level; besides giving the principal of legitimacy of the outbreak of the Liberation Revolution and its internationalization.

The newspaper focused in its contents on a simple and upscale style, and it too sought to defend National cause and describe it locally and abroad, relying on patriotism and the homeland as a concept and reference of it discourse for calling the Algerian people to liberate Algeria as an independent entity with its peculiarities separated from French colonialism; by a direct and honest discourse.

So the present article asked the following question: how Algerian Resistance newspaper deals National Revolution and Nationalism and what are the ways it adopted in its presentation? Answering the question, we analysed seventeen issues of Algerian Resistance newspaper of the second edition (B), edited in Morocco, from 1956 to 1957, beginning with the first edition till it stopped at 1957 and replaced by “El Moudjahid” newspaper.

The quantitative and qualitative analyses showed manifestation of nationalism in the Algerian Resistance newspaper discourse, with its various meaning and was supported of it, as well as it is the source of the evolution of the concept of nationalism in its local and international dimensions.
