Abstract EN

The study aims to diagnose to what extent of the Algerian companies interest in integrating the environmental dimension, with adoptingan managerial system capable to improve their environmental performance.

The case study shows the extent of compatibility of industrial activity of ENAP production -unit of Souk Ahras- with the objectives of environmental protection, and how it deals with environmental issues and concerns.

The results of the study showed that the Algerian industrial companies still do not have good control on modern management processes.

Also, they focus on their operational performance through taking the appropriate procedures to deal with the environmental problem to comply with legislation.

Therefore, the industrial sector mostly prefers profit logic instead of sustainability
