This study seeks to analyze the problem of influences contributing to the process of democratic transition and its repercussions on the economy national side Which gives great importance to the subject, Especially since the political and economic change that Algeria has witnessed since the end of the 1980s was not automatic, This is aimed at discovering the reasons and backgrounds that contribute to this, using the analytical descriptive method by analyzing ideas and describing their specifics, while adopting the method of field study in the procedural aspect of the Algerian political economy according to the requirements of the research, The most important results were reached in confirming the mutually influential relationship between the process of democratic transition and the economic situation, and Algeria's transition from a socialist approach to a liberal approach, with the acceleration of political and economic events and reforms in line with international and national developments.
