Abstract EN

This research discusses the development of Islamic endowment (Waqf) through activating endowment investment using cotemporary Islamic forms to be compatible with current needs.

the research aims at freeing the concept of the contemporary Islamic formula and the endowment investment, its objectives, regulations and types as well as identifying those formulas and studying their applications.

the study depended on the inductive method and the descriptive approach.

the research concluded that the Waqf investment has some regulations, which should be adhered by, such as adhering by legitimacy, taking into consideration Islamic priorities, selecting investment field, specifying economically appropriate formula and others.

the study found out that the endowment investment has several kinds like real estate, agricultural, productive, service and capital, and that the Fiqh councils legalized some contemporary Islamic formula like Muqaradah bonds, B.O.T, parallel industrialization, diminishing Musharakah and others.
